The Tragic Death of Gabrielle Barrett

Gabrielle Barrett was a four and a half year old little girl who had only been living with her mother, Candice Diaz for three months when she died on New Year's Eve at the hands of her mother and her mother's boyfriend, Brad Fields. The child was covered in bruises and suffered burns allegedly because she ran her own bath. Prior to this time, she had spent her entire life with her Grandmother, Cynthia Diaz who failed her horrendously by leaving her in the care of her mother. The grandmother claimed the child had to live with her mother to attend pre-k schooling. This school attendance is not mandatory, but is optional. In most states you are not required to enroll your child in school until the age of six. The grandmother stated during the preliminary hearing she saw Gabby on Christmas and she appeared fine. Her hair and teeth were fine, though allegedly she had head lice (not life threatening and easily treated). She did everything but backflips to defend her daughter...

Seandell Jackson

Seandell Jackson was convicted of murdering Nathan Potter who was a student at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He had attempted to rob him, however Nathan was not carrying any cash and was merely traveling from one location to another at the time of his death. There is nothing special about Seandell, other than he is the poster child for why prisons exist, and that he and his family are responsible for the choices he made that day. When he was sentenced for first-degree intentional homicide and attempted robbery, he was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole, he screamed obscenities, and had to be tackled and pepper sprayed. He was not alone in his outbursts, his family yelled out as well: " I hate you! I hate you all!", " I hate all of you!", " God's the judge" . Funny to bring God into things when your family member has committed which God forbids. Perhaps they were absent on the Sunday that was being taught. It's easy ...

Five Reasons the Perfect Murder Doesn't Exist

I write creatively and enjoy watching crime shows. Subsequently, I often think about writing about a perfect murder. There are so many current ways to be caught now, I simply don't believe it's possible unless you kill a complete stranger thousands of miles away. This type of murder, thankfully is rare. Most often when homicide is considered a viable option, it is someone known intimately to you. Besides the obvious fact that murder is an abnormal solution, it's highly unlikely you would successfully commit a murder, especially considering you find yourself here. Motive If you have enough anger or hut to kill someone, chances are motive would be easy to prove. Debt, money, love and sex are motives for murder on a daily, if not hourly occasion. One of the most frequent murder is that of a significant other, married or not. This is a person who has full access to both your life and your emotions. Unless both parties are super private people, there's issues on d...
